Rapids on the Snoqualmie River

This was actually our second “date”, about a week after we met. Chris wanted me to meet some of his friends and I thought hiking sounded like fun. It was cold and raining pretty bad this weekend, but we still went out. It only took a few minutes for the rain to leave me looking like a bit droopy… add to that the big, blue coat I was wearing and I insist to this day that I had more than a passing resemblance to Violet from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, after she’d blown up into a blueberry. Still, Chris’ friends liked me and, amazingly enough, he still thought I was cute enough to continue dating!
